Animoca Brands now auctioned over 200 thousand dollars worth of limited edition digital collectible cars for their upcoming game F1 Delta Time. Someone nicknamed 'ogasahara' bought the latest China Edition 2019 Azure Dragon virtual race car for 16.599 dollars. The winning bid on this last auction was 91 ETH.
The blockchain game company has been auctioning digital collectibles since May 2019. In terms of value in USD dollars, the China Edition 2019 Azure Dragon is the cheapest auctioned car so far. The latest auction winner, someone nicknamed ogasahara, also won the Japan Edition 2019 in October 2019, and owns a Renault R.S. 19. Before that he was an active bidder in the first F1 Delta Time auctions as well.
Earlier auctions reached higher prices. The Japan Edition sold for 91,61 ETH, while the France Edition sold for 96.6 ETH, the Monaca Edition for 108 ETH and the first ever auction of the 1-1-1 vehicle for 415.9 ETH. This means that Animoca Brands already sold for over 200 thousand dollars worth of digital collectibles, calculated based on the value of ETH at the time of the auction.
Besides the auctions of these one-of-a-kind digital collectibles, Animoca Brands has also been selling cars and car parts. The total earnings on the sales of these digital items is obviously much higher. In addition the game company will soon start selling 'crates', adding another revenue stream to their game.
