Spotify-competitor and indie streaming platform Feedbands is allowing its users to earn bitcoin for listening to music. For every stream listened to, users will earn 0.5 cents worth in bitcoin. People can earn additional revenue for referring friends and artists, or sharing songs on social media. This way Feedbands adds to the online services that allow people to earn cryptocurrencies without ever investing money into it.
In essence Feedbands is a music service dedicated to new artists. Along the side the music platform also fights climate change by planting a tree for every 1000 music streams. Currently the platform already contributed to plant 3166 trees.
The platform also functions as a record label, as it releases monthly vinyl albums based on the most popular streams. These are being sold in their online shop for $20-$30 dollar each, and currently there are 69 records pressed.
