One of the biggest financial stories of 2017 has been the seemingly unstoppable rise of bitcoin, which has more than tripled this year and seems to make new records by the day. Bitcoin has gone from $1 to almost $3000 ($2842 as of this posting on Steemit) in less than a decade but this metric suggests more room to rise.

      I believe you are right. Current price as of writing this: $2856.77. Very close to $3000 at the moment.
