Faucets - Are they really worth your time?

Faucets, those sites that pay you a tiny amount for filling a Captcha every 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, etc...

Ever since the huge spike in the BTC price to the $1000+ and the closure of FaucetBox.com, faucets have become a thing of the past. Earning 100-180 satoshi every 1 hour is not really motivating, especially with the huge fees nowadays to get your small transactions across (depends on the site, too).

So the question arises: Is it really worth your time?

For a person like me, that spends most of the day browsing the internet, mostly doing "unproductive stuff", it is definitely worth a shot spending a part of your time doing so, an extra little income is always appreciated during my free time, right?

Freebitco.in is the example I am going to use, the site updates the rewards automatically according to the current bitcoin value being able to win up to $150 per roll (ultra rare, but possible),  gives you free 2 lottery tickets for the current ongoing lottery, and also 2-6 Reward points which you can redeem for bitcoin (depends on current value of BTC) or prizes if you collect A LOT of them, and I mean A LOT.

The site also allows you to gamble your savings which I personally regret using, but it's nice to have; and a new feature implemented about 2 weeks ago, getting a small interest rate just for having 30,000 satoshi or more in your balance. The amount you get is laughable with a small balance, but it may be worth it with a high balance, after all you get it by doing nothing.

Other faucets like Moonbit.co.in, have been filled with advertisements everywhere you click, and not offering nearly anything in comparison, having to wait nearly 24 hours to get 220 satoshi (depending on the current value), this is one example of a site that is a waste of time no matter where you look at it.  (maybe that's a little harsh)

The site stacks satoshies over time which you can claim every 5 minutes. and the more you get, the slower it gets.

It's not recommendable to stack it up for more than 24 hours, the faucet wants you to claim every day by giving you a "Daily loyalty bonus" which goes up by 1% everyday if you claim it on time (that's 100 days of grinding), it also has a "Referral bonus" and a "Mystery bonus". All these bonuses increase your claimed amount by a certain % to give you the final result after each claim.

In conclusion, a faucet that offers you the most for your time might be worth it, if you're like me or just new to it. Otherwise, just stay away from them and keep doing what you do. It all comes to personal opinion and how much you value your time.

Moonbitcoin and Moondoge coin have worked well for me. There is a daily loyalty bonus. I am at 100%. In average I collect around 18 000 Satoshi a week or more than 2000 Satoshi a day. While doge was at a good price I made up to 700 doge a week. I use all those collected funds and lend them on Poloniex. I had lately a nice gain as the price for doge went up as well. https://steemit.com/life/@steempowerwhale/income-24-hrs-7-days-a-week-earn-while-you-sleep-reality-or-fairy-tale

Yes I guess the loyalty bonus does help it quite a lot, but it requires collecting the bonus daily or it resets back to zero, if you can manage to do that and get your daily bonus to 100%, it has potential. I guess I forgot to mention this, thanks for the input!
