JP Morgan - Jamie Dimon made a dirty move!

in bitcoin •  7 years ago

I’m sure everyone has seen Jamie Dimon saying Bitcoin is a fraud. Within a day after that statement was released, Bitcoin went from $4700 to $2800! Just a couple days ago, a report showed the top Bitcoin purchasers for that day and on of the top Bitcoin buyers was who?...... JP Morgan! What are your thoughts on this?

A silly meme I did to go along with the storyD564F890-5E32-4DC9-9110-4DBFA2607253.png

I may be wrong but from what I heard and read is that JPMorgan never really bought the Bitcoin themselves they had a customer asked them to buy it for the customer and JPMorgan wasn't really going to turn down money so I can kind of see it going both ways

I believe the part about you reading that somewhere. However, why would a customer ask J.p. morgan to bitcoin for them? lol. Sounds like they bought some Bitcoin and everyone found out and now they’re making stuff up to make it look like they did purchase it. I mean it was a very very large purchase from what I saw.

Please don't spread fake news, or try to make a story out of nothing.

JPM is broker and custodian to millions of securities on behalf of customers. Any such trades were customer driven.

This isn’t fake news?

Even if that’s the case - Why would they offer brokerage services for customers buying Bitcoin if the CEO believes Bitcoin is a fraud? So, now..... that means they’re selling fraudulent services - according to their belief.

Oddreality: That's like saying they shouldn't deal in cash, because it is sometimes used to buy faulty goods or used for illicit purposes.

Surely you don't want them to judge you - and what you can do with your money, based on what the CEO thinks. What if he thought hamburgers make people too fat, and banned them from using their cash to buy any? What if he stopped people from buying cigarettes or alcohol?

He’s saying that Bitcoin as a whole is fraudulent. He didn’t say that only certain things about Bitcoin pertain to fraudulent activity. He thinks the whole concept is bogus.

maybe he just want to make profit from it by telling lies and buying it cheap.

Very likely!
