Jakarta - The Mante tribe suddenly becomes viral on the internet. Originally from a video recording a small human figure running fast and disappearing in the reeds.

The footage of the video gave rise to a strong allegation that the tribe existed in Tanah Rencong. The tribe is still a mystery although regarded as the oldest tribe who inhabit the province in the western tip of Indonesia, namely Aceh.

"Indeed this is one of the tribes that is considered the oldest tribe of Acehnese people," said archaeologist from Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, Husaini Ibrahim, to detikcom, Monday (27/3) yesterday.

The existence of Mante people in the modern era itself is still full of question marks. Most of them are only unbelievable testimonies or only small traces of the ground that the passer finds.

But there are a number of areas in Tanah Rencong that once witnessed the emergence of Mante tribe. Head of Public Relations Bureau of Aceh Government Mulyadi Nurdin said the Mante tribe once found in the hinterlands of Aceh Besar, Pidie, and several other districts that have wilderness.

"Inland Aceh from Aceh Besar and mentoknya in Southeast Aceh is connected, they also found them in the interior of Lokop, East Aceh district," said Mulyadi when met at his office at the office of Governor of Aceh, Teuku Nyak Arief Road, Banda Aceh.

In Pidie District, the Mante tribe was once found in the interior of Tangse and Geumpang. They allegedly moved around and lived in caves. The existence of this short-lit man was initially thought to be non-existent.

To prove the figure recorded on the camera is really Mante or not, the government of Aceh will conduct research. Coordination with related parties will also be undertaken.

"Later we will compare the findings with the existing data .. Hopefully there is a temunya point," said Mulyadi.

The figure of the little creature was originally uploaded by a YouTube account on behalf of Fredography under the title 'HEBOH! Shocked there naked people in Aceh forest ', which was uploaded on March 22 last. When viewed in the comments column, most internet citizens want Mante people not harassed by modern humans.

Archaeologist Husaini Ibrahim also mentions the nature of Mante tribe who always avoid contact with the outside community. Regardless of its physical characteristics, the Mante people are human too.

"Do not bother the Mante tribe, they are also ordinary people, they have the right to get a decent life," he said.
