I think it is just a matter of time that banks and or states start their own crypto currencies. I think Switzerland will have one early on.

the lame part is that you need to promote it in oder to rly have a benefit from using it. or you need insanely fast fingers^^
edit: ontopic i digital currency that does not use any kind of blockchain tech seems risky imo-.-
