Hi guys,
I just got back from an amazing trip to Amsterdam. It is a very beautiful city with the small water passages, which are built up in circles around the city centre. But I do not want to bother you with my impressions about Amsterdam, rather about an interesting talk to an couple form Iceland, who I met in a restaurant. After they told me that they are from Iceland, I had to ask them immediately about the bitcoin mining farms. I was hoping to obtain some insider knowledge, but I got a very unsatisfacotry answer. "We don't use bitcoin", said the icelander with long hair. I answered, "Of course not! Actually nobody uses it (really)." After I have asked him again about the mining farms, which make a ridiculous amount of money with it, both of them declined. They had never heard about such an activity in Iceland.
The encounter with the couple from Iceland, who have never heard about crypto currency mining, made me a little bit puzzled about the future of the bitcoin. Bitcoin has still not reached all of us, and it will certainly take more time. But how much time and will it ever been used by the majority of people or still stay a genius invention of computer geeks and playground for trading sharks, who are seeking for some quick money?
