It was assumed that Bitcoin's miners would start signaling their support for the SegWit2x scaling solution not earlier than July 21, but some of them are already signaling their support for the solution, despite the fact that the update code still has to overcome the next stage of testing.
To date, about 43% of the mining capacity supports the SegWit2X upgrade code, including AntPool, BitClub, Bixin, BTC.com and BitFury. Slush Pool, responsible for 5% hashtate is going to join them soon.
However, to fix the update, the ministers need to signal the support of the solution with the help of BIP91. If 80% of the hashresh will support the solution during the generation of 336 consecutive blocks for 2 days, the long-awaited Segregated Witness code update will be activated.
At the same time, it should be noted that the full update code included in the SegWit2x solution appears to be still in need of improvement. Last week, we reported that in the bitcoin testet to test the latest scaling solution for Segwit2x, there was an unintended fork of the chain, because of which the creation of new blocks was suspended for more than 20 hours.
