Depends on how you define “rich”. Interestingly Forbes magazine recently published its Crypto Rich List. While cryptocurrency prices have dipped since the list was published, many of these individuals are still very “rich”
Chris Larsen, who is the cofounder was estimated to be sitting on $20bn when Ripple went sky high. He tops the list of the top-20 richest individuals in crypto.
Rounding out the top-20 is Song Chi-Hyung, the founder of a cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea. He is currently valued at approx. $350mn. Not too bad.
The top 20 aside, it wont be too far a stretch there there are several 100’s if not 1000’s of individuals who have become millionaires off crypto - either, buying/holding, trading, starting companies etc.
