I've never seen or heard anyone else talk about this but I have noticed a simple indicator of whether BTC's price will go up or down and it just flipped to the "up" side.
This is completely unscientific on my part but just an observation I have made.
I have an app that tracks coin prices at a glance on my phone, you can pick different tradepairs and you can pick the price from different exchanges.
For Bitcoin, I track the BTC/USD trade pair on coinbase and on Bittrex .
This is very simple; Coinbase's price leads the Bittrex price, if Coinbase's price is higher, BTC will go higher, if Coinbase's price is lower, BTC will go lower, when they get close, (within 2% difference of each other) the price is hitting resistance and may be about to change direction.
If coinbase's price goes above bittrex, and stays there, the price is definitely going to start to trend up.
Throughout this whole downturn, the coinbase price was lower that the bittrex price, but this morning I awoke to see that the coinbase price is beating Bittrex by 60-80 dollars.
This seems too simple to be true and I don't really know the mechanism behind coinbase's pricing but this has held true for me.
In my experience this has been more reliable than traditional chart analysis (not that I am very experienced at that.)
If this is interesting to you, please watch this with me and feel free to come back and roast me if I'm wrong. I always watch for replies, even on old posts.
I am going to say here that I believe in 10 days BTC will be over 10,000 USD and beyond.
I expect slow growth throughout February and for the price to start to ramp up faster in March.
Good luck everybody and stay up!! - @RADDOG
Nice recovery overnight. I hope it continues

That would make things pretty simple wouldn't -- Just watch coinbase and make tons.

TY for your reply.
I think most of us are used to money being over complicated because we grew up with a fiat system of smoke and mirrors designed to trick us out of wealth at every turn.
I believe that money can and should be simple and at it's core, it is.

I haven't noticed this but I'm going to keep an eye on it now. I still feel like BTC has a bit of a drop to go before it truly gets back on it's feet or maybe I'm just being greedy and wanting super cheap BTC.

so far since I posted this, my little test has proven true.
Coinbase price is higher than Bittrex and BTC price is still rising.
Not that it was really hard to predict that BTC would rise in general.
