Yesterday was not good day for the bitcoin investor in Nicehash (market).
Crypto-currency mining marketplace Nicehash has confirmed that yesterday's hack resulted in the loss of amount worth more than over $60 million, 4700 BTC.
In a facebook live stream video from Nicehash team confirmed about the hack that the company had a subsequent theft.
The company said in its statement
"Importantly, our payment system was compromised and the contents of the NiceHash Bitcoin wallet have been stolen. We are working to verify the precise number of BTC taken. Clearly, this is a matter of deep concern and we are working hard to rectify the matter in the coming days. In addition to undertaking our own investigation, the incident has been reported to the relevant authorities and law enforcement and we are co-operating with them as a matter of urgency."
The team didn't disclosed about the exact amount of theft but a wallet address circulated by a user of Nicehash suggest a 4726.42 BTC has been stolen.
The news come to know that the attack began in the early hour of 6 december and he hackers got the access to the system at 3:34pm .
Nicehash team also suggested the users to change their online passwords as a result of breach of subsequent theft.
