BTC-U or Altcoins moment?

I’d like to share with you all my point of view on what could happen in 1st August and what opportunities we have, despite I had not been in crypto for long.

Well, let’s start!

On these days lots of people have been buying BTC in order to win BTC-U (BCC) “for free”, despite if it is gonna happen like this or not (I’m not going to enter in this discussion) , you would win about a 14% free BTC selling the fork coin according to some sources.

But, instead of hyping this path, I’d like to give my support to another possible scenario: The probable rise of Altcoins.
Despite being true the fact that Altcoins are not secure at all, in my opinion there are some good opportunities to make a wide profit. Altcoins have been falling up to 75% in price and volume because costumers fleeing to BTC due to the FOMO of BTC-U.
So, I believe that the (more than possible) Altcoin recovery could be harder than anyone is thinking right now, in my opinion we just need to wait to the fork to pass to see one of the biggest moons in some altcoins cases.

I expose two examples:

Metal (MTL)

As can be seen in the picture, since the rise of BTC because 1st August FOMO, Altcoins generally have fallen their value. In that case, Metal has lost near a 30% of his previous value. If MTL rise up at the previous value we would obtain a profit of the 30%. And less probably but possible, if MTL would rise up his top value, we would obtain a profit of the 67%.

Digibyte (DGB)

Again, we can see how the volume go down along with price while BTC rises up. DGB has fallen at least 49%, it has been touching one of his hardest resistances lately and won’t probably go further down, making it a really good alt to spot a pump (Also put DGB charts in 1D and you could spot some interesting things). I’m less sure about this one, but if it would attract inversion after fork it would rise up to his previous value, obtaining a benefit of 49%. And in the best case, (but not probable) rise up at his top value obtaining a 300% benefit! Also, his volume stood the top 5 even in those days of altcoin flee, very bullish sign.

In conclusion, in my opinion the best option now is to invest in Altcoins, rather than expecting free BTC-U. Altcoins are right now way oversold, making of them a biggest target in my opinion to get profit after the fork on 1st August, since I really believe in the market value auto-correction, I seriously doubt about being really able to sell all the BTC-U fork to get BTC for free.

Also note this is all speculation, and I’m conscious about how mentally hard is to sell BTC at high prices just before the free-coin giving moment in order to buy some alts showing -20% in value and volume, but still, I’m betting for it and for the market self-regulation.

From my position I only have 5% of my funds at BTC, the other 95% is invested in cheap MTL and DGB.
