Many alt coins take on a much bigger role then being simply a currency, their ambitions soar as high as the moon their investors dream about. A token network called Substratum for example is trying to decentralize the web, this will benefit countries with restricted or limited internet use and do so at a much cheaper cost then your average cable company.
