Bitcoin for tax payments? Arizona could become first state in the U.S. to allow it

Another Good News For Bitcoin Lovers.

Arizona to become the first state in the US to accept bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a form of payment for tax payments. The bill would allow income taxes to be paid in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency approved by the Arizona Department of Revenue starting in 2020.

According to the bill, the Arizona Department of Revenue, upon receiving payments in crypto for “tax and any interest and penalties”, would be obligated to convert the cryptocurrency payments to U.S. dollars within 24 hours.
