Recent floods in the Chinese province of Sichuan have, it seems, caused serious damage to the operation of extracting cryptocurrencies in this area. The message was published on the local blockchain and cryptographic platform Golden Finance (金色 财经) on June 30.
Ecns, the official English service China News Service (CNS), reported that Sichuan and four other provinces in China suffered heavy rains on June 27 and 28, which led to the flood.
Golden Finance claims that the serious operation of the crypto-currency extraction in Sichuan was severely affected, which led to the loss of "tens of thousands" of mining equipment. It seems that miners are "almost impossible" to repair, according to information on the site.
