Well as long as 90% of the circulating Bitcoins are in the hands of 10% of the investing community (according to multiple sources) i think the trend will remain upward. However it's gonna be a bumpy ride, other factors play a role in this. The bitcoin blockchain is slow en expensive, and the various exchanges can't handle the traffic well. In the long term i think there will be better alternative blockchains to invest in, but that's just my 2 cents.
