          Experts of the Adguard service, which deals with blocking advertisements on the network, discovered 220 sites launching the mining process at the moment when the user opens the main page of the resource. In total, the audience of these sites is about 500 million users. This is reported by the Security Lab site.  

• In September, the pirate torrent tracker The Pirate Bay was caught in secret secret of crypto currency at the expense of users. As the site notes, hundreds of other resources could follow its example.
  

1. According to Adguard experts, 0.22 percent of sites from the TOP-100000 Alexa rating have adopted the practice and now use various miners designed to use the capacities of the central processors of computers for the production of crypto currency.
   

• The bulk of these resources are torrent trackers, as well as pirated and pornographic resources that do not receive money from advertising. At the same time in the end of September in this practice caught the site of the company Showtime.
  
• The CoinHive team, providing software for such activities, called on site owners who use its code on their site to inform users about it. Developers of CoinHive position the tool as an alternative way to monetize sites without advertising.
  

In early October, the mayor of the city of Sysert in the Sverdlovsk region Dmitry Niskovsky proposed to attract investors to the city through mining crypto-currency. Private investors, at his suggestion, will build small power plants, through which the mining will be carried out and at the same time the power supply of the facilities will be ensured.
