My top cryptocurrencies

I see people all the time investing in crappy currencies like ripple or Litecoin. And by crap I don't mean the market performance, I mean the technology behind it.

Most of the coins are just a fork of bitcoin or Ethereum with a new name. But it is basically the same. Then a lot of other coins are ERC-20 Tokens based on eth. Those tokens does not have to be crap but I do not count them as own cryptocurrency because the suffer from the same problems as Ethereum since it runs on it.

Okay heres my list of good, tech-advanced coins that really differ from the usual crap (random order):

Ethereum

Ethereum was the first currency that gave us smart contracts. And its allready up and running.
Pros:

• Allready in production
• ERC-20 Token standard
• A lot of active tokens and projects
• A lot of active developers

Contra:

• Scaling problem
• Governance problem (allready hardforked)

EOS

From the steem and bitshares developer. Also called the first "Ethereum Killer".
Pros:

• Tonns of money for advertising
• Funds to recruit EOS-Project developers
• Claim to solved the scaling problem

Contra:

• Not in production yet (but should be released soon)
• No active projects
• Not self governing (could fork)

Tezos

Also called "Ethereum Killer". Mostly known for their self governing system.
Pros:

• Claim to solved the scaling problem
• Claim to created a self governing blockchain

Contra:

• Not in production yet (but should be released soon)
• No active projects
• A lot of legal trouble
• Deadlines missed multiple times

Cardano

A coin who claims to solve all problems, but still in a very early stage...
Pros:

• Claim to solved the scaling problem
• Claim to created a self governing blockchain

Contra:

• Not in production yet (but should be released soon)
• No active projects
• Very early development status.

Worth to mention

There are a few more projects I want to mention. But those are not good enough (my opinion) to be counted as TOP currency but worth to mention anyway:

• NEO -> Basically does the same as Ethereum
• Steem -> Functional social media system with a lot of active users end eco system
• Waves
• Lisk
• Polkadot -> Very early stage
• Credits -> Very early stage
• Dash -> Best anonymous coin so far.

Hall of shame

In the hall of shame currencies end up who are complete bullshit and got far to much attention.

• Bitcoin -> Slow and therefor useless
• Litecoin -> Same as Bitcoin. Slow and therefor useless
• Ripple -> Just survives cuz of their aggressive advertising and dumb sheeps who buy blind
• BitcoinGold (and any other Bitcoin fork) -> People fork BTC all the time to generate cash from nothing. Thats bullshit.
• Verge -> Shitcoin that got pumped by John Mcafee

There are a lot more shitcoins I don't even want to mention, but luckily they get that much attention.
