Omg - is this the beginning of the end?
No. Well, maybe? But not really?
Taking a look a the market cap, Tether is right above Bitconnect, which has MANY vocal opponents claiming ponzi / pyramid / etc. So if Tether collapses, it would be slightly worse than if Bitconnect collapses - from a market cap perspective.
But what about exchanges that are dependent on Tether???
In the event of a Tether collapse, any exchange that was previously using Tether would simply migrate to another solution. Necessity is the mother of invention, and with the resources available (barring mismanagement - I'm looking at you Gox), either a solution will present itself or would be spontaneously created.
Or maybe this is a huge deal - what are your thoughts?
What is the worst case potential impact from the collapse of Tether?
