1. Mt Gox Missing Bitcoins Linked to UK Company
Mt Gox is in the centre of crypto attention once again. Back in 2014 the exchange was hacked and about 650 000 bitcoins were stolen. The story altogether is very messy still with some people being arrested and some people free from court. This time a UK based company was proved to be linked with theft as investigation goes further.

2. Japanese Banks Designing Consumer Payment App on Ripple DLT
A group of Japanese banks are planning to set up Ripple distributed ledger technology in a forthcoming product - MoneyTap - aimed at general consumers. The product will be a smartphone app and will be launched in Autumn. It will be tested with three Japanese banks and if successful will roll our to another 61 bank.

3. Japanese Whale Controls $2.3bln of BTC
Another news coming from Japan. Nobuaki Kobayashi, a bankruptcy trustee of the above mentioned Mt Gox, sits on $1.9bln of btc after unloading $400mln at the peak price of btc. Maybe the price surge in January is his fault?

4. Bittrex Adds TrueUSD, a USDT Competitor
With all the noise about legitimacy of USDT, Bittrex thinks one step ahead and introduced an alternative - TrueUSD coin on their exchange. Bittrex is second exchange offering this coin, following Upbit. The volumes are still quite low with just $2.3mln traded daily. If something goes wrong with USDT, they got themselves covered.

5. Bots Blamed For Binance Hack
Another half-hacked happened earlier this with with Binance exchange. Hackers made a dummy website which appeared almost invisible through redirect while loading Binance exchange. During these milliseconds, API info was stolen and used later to pump ViaCoin. Price of the latter skyrocketed 1000% from $3 to $200. Binance were super fast to react and blocked all withdraws from exchange while dealing with the matter.
