1.Ripple On Fire With 5 More Banks Joining RippleNet
Ripple, a San Francisco based global payment provider, signed banks from Brazil, India, Singapore and Canada over the last week. Everybody wants to execute faster and cheaper funds transfers, and looks like everybody wants RippleNet to do that. Very promising for Ripple, but XRP prices do not reflect that unfortunately.

2.Customer Tries to Withdraw $20 Trillion From Crypto Exchange
Japanese exchanges, after Coincheck’s hack, are under pressure. And to spice things up, Zaif platform had a glitch in their system, allowing it’s users to purchase cryptocurrencies for free. The gap was 20 minutes long and only 7 users managed to exploit the bug. Funds were returned to their initial values after a fix, however, one user in particular ordered bitcoin worth $20 trillion. If successful he could buy half of USA debt alone.

3.Major Bitcoin Gold Split & Move Worth $84mln
A big warning for all Bitcoin Gold owners. Someone has just moved 664 000 BTG from his wallet. These coins where not touched since the fork in November. At the current BTG price, these coins nominally are worth $84.3mln, however CoinMarketCap indicates that only $40mln are traded daily. If one eventually sells all his coins, this could crash the market close to zero.

4.Iran Is Developing Own Cryptocurrency
Last year Iran was not sure whether to accept cryptocurrencies as a legit payment or not. Recently Iran denied ever recognizing Bitcoin as official currency. To the contrary, Iranian government is developing local cryptocurrency. At this stage it is hard to tell at which stage of the process they are, but sanctioned nations seem to like the idea of decentralized crypto markets.
5.Ripple Pledges to Upgrade Their Technology
Two new white papers are being released. One will describe XRP consensus algorithm in a more formal way. This indeed is required as this document has not been updated since 2014. The other one will outline ways to improve the diversity of connections of each node.
