Bitcoin Gold
Bitcoin Gold (BTG) plans to make a hard fork of the cryptomonnaie on October 25, creating another version of the bitcoin in the process. The project was first released in July and was created by Jack Liao, founder of Lightning ASIC, a Hong Kong mining company. The hard fork will include the adoption of a new protocol that will modify some of the consensus mechanisms related to the bitcoin. As a result, minors would be able to operate tokens in a new way. According to bitcoin.com, the new BTG will use the Equihash algorithm used by Zcash rather than the bitcoin SHA256 algorithm.
Selection of block size
According to the BTG website, "bitcoin gold implements the UAHF (user-activated hard fork) proposal to accept GPU extraction. Minors can choose the size of blocks they want to exploit, with a default of 1 MB. "
Although bitcoin hard fork projects have been publicly available for a second time since July, many bitcoin fans are still not fully aware of the project. There are those who consider the announcement of a second hard fork as an attempt to troll the industry in order to confuse the earlier hard fork and the adoption of Segwit2x. Yet, bitcoin gold has provided a code available for public review. It has gained popularity on social media and Slack. The full launch of the BTG is scheduled for November 1, a few days after the fork is set up.
Yet there are many steps that prevent another hard fork. There is currently no testnet that minors can use to test the new protocol. A BTG programmer revealed on Slack that "we are working on a core protocol and will launch the testnet as soon as possible. Profitability is determined by the price and difficulty of mining, but the price is difficult to predict. "This has fueled some opinions that the fork project is possible is disorganized, especially given the speed with which it has arrived.

I think mining will be easier with new algorithm implementation

Bitcoin Gold aka Bitcoin GPU is a fork of the Bitcoin which will see the light of day on October 25th.
The developers behind the project hope to open the possibility of mining to a larger number of participants by replacing the algorithm of the bitcoin managing this aspect, by an algorithm that will participate in the securing of the network with graphics cards and render the maps Specialized ASICs.
The idea is to sink the mastodons of the Bitcoin mining - more and more controversial on the network - by making them less important.

This sounds insane... I think this won't get much adoption with miners outside China. Calling the @originalworks bot for more public awareness.
