Noob Question
Miners compete with each other to solve a puzzle in the block to mine bitcoins. I don't get this. Is puzzle used as a metaphor ? Is there some problems inside the block containing bitcoins that the miners has to solve?

    Puzzle is a metaphor! Good catch! BitcoIn blockchain has a difficulty level that is constantly rising and thus forcing miners to upgrade thier mining equipment..
