Make a online shop accepting Bitcoin in 10 minutessteemCreated with Sketch.

I made a boat full of online stores for the past year or so.

A handful of which accepts crypto!

I had a conversation with a friend recently and he was surprised and surprised when I told him that he had some online stores that accepted cryptography. The friend in question is usually very bored and disinterested when I talk about what I do. This made me think, why aren't there more people making online stores that accept Bitcoin, etc.? Perhaps they assume that it is too complicated or too expensive.

News bozos, is none!

Step 1: choose your domain and hosting package (2 minutes)

To buy your domain and hosting, I recommend Netnerd or Guru. You may be able to get a cheaper offer if you buy your domain name at a site other than your accommodation, but this is what I like to call faff. It is better to keep everything under one roof to simplify.
At the time of writing this, I discovered that the sweet domain Ethereumonestop.com is available, so we will use it as an example. (If any of you end up buying this, you're welcome!)

Then, we buy the Ethereumonestop.com domain nCoinbase Commerce will make you use 3FA, which takes a minute to configure and you will also need to configure the API, which is easier than it seems, you follow
ame, and select our hosting package. Essentially, the more expensive the package you buy, the faster your site will be and the more traffic you can handle.

For a small site with a small amount of traffic (2000 visits per day) it will be fine with the cheapest options. (Tip: Netnerd offers free hosting if you're really tight for satoshis!)

Step 2: Install Wordpress and Woocommerce (4 minutes)

Both Wordpress and Woocommerce are free, and both are adaptable, amazing and everything you need to make an amazing, adaptable and small store.

To install both, we must first log in to the Cpanel of your site, which you should be able to access through your hosting provider. Most decent hosting providers have an 'application installer' or 'one-click installation' section where you complete some boxes, click a button and install Wordpress for yourself. This may take 2 minutes.

Once you have installed Wordpress, log in to the Wordpress administration area, which is usually: http://www.Ethereumonestop.com/wp-admin/
Now, on the left side, scroll down until you see 'Add-ons'.

We need to find a new add-on called (guessed it) Woocommerce, install it and then activate it. * *

Step 3: Install Coinbase Commerce (2 minutes)

Next, we install another add-on called 'Coinbase Commerce'. There are hundreds of other similar add-ons that will allow you to accept all kinds of cryptography of all kinds, but personally I think it is better to go with Coinbase, the big boy since you can trust the big boys (more than you can trust a single developer anyway). If you don't have a normal Coinbase account yet, you must be crazy and need to get one here.
Coinbase Commerce will make you use 3FA, which takes 1 minute to configure and you will also need to configure the API, which is easier than it seems, you follow

You must register with Coinbase Commerce as well, but once you install the Coinbase Commerce plug-in, you will be asked to do so.

Coinbase Commerce will make you use 3FA, which takes 1 minute to configure and you will also need to configure the API, which is easier than it seems, you follow the instructions in the plugin and you essentially have to copy and paste the Coinbase Commerce keys to Wordpress . * *

Once configured, your store will be ready to accept:

Step 4: List a product (1 minute)

Go back to your Wordpress administration area and if you should see on the left side under 'Woocommerce' something called 'Products'. Hover over it and another pop-up menu will appear, select 'Add new', complete the form that is loaded and BOOM, you have a live product in an online store that can be purchased with Ethereum.

That's not bad for 10 minutes, right?

  • Well, it really is, I've missed many small steps along the way that if you want to create a serious store, you won't want to skip it. There are hundreds of areas that you could have covered, such as designing your store, installing a theme, setting up SEO and site maps, but that's for another time (maybe).

The aim of this article was to show how simple it is, the 1 minute factor is a bit of clickbait evil on my part. However, if enough of you are interested in me making a more detailed guide, I would be pleased, perhaps, to inform me below, just in case.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NOOBS:

Don't confuse installing Wordpress by registering for a free blog on wordpress.com; This is completely different in everything except the name.

Peace.
