I think it is uncertain what happens in altcoin market at the moment and that is another reason why people stick to bitcoin. In the alt market there are many competitors for almost everything, such as privacy coins or platforms and it is hard to tell who the winner will be at the moment or perhaps the winners are yet to appear.
