Hello everyone. This is Nick. Hope you guys are having a great day in this wacky market. Let’s get started with the news for today. I will start with some important headlines, and then work towards the south hemisphere.
General Crypto Market Analysis and Sentiment. ZClassic/BPrivate. Africa Conversation.
So the general consensus in the crypto-market is rather bullish. But I sense that a lot of people are going to be more careful and picky on their investments moving forward. The SEC’s meeting yesterday with respect to cryptocurrencies was generally positive. Even the full mainstream media did not bash cryptocurrencies as much. But during the SEC meeting there was a bit of silly questions going back and forth which shows you how backwards and uneducated some of our elected officials are when it comes to cryptocurrencies. I actually sent a tweet to one of my favorite congress person telling them to get more educated about cryptocurrencies. Anyway with this out of the way, most of the top 100 coins listed on Coin Market Cap Dot Com are in the green including ZClassic. I believe their fork date to come out with BPrivate will take place around the end of the month so make sure you guys keep up with their tweets. Before going into international news, my opinion about Bitcoin is as bullish as Andy Hoffman’s statement from the World Crypto Network youtube’s channel where he mentioned something to the effect of Bitcoin being the world reserve cryptocurrency as the dollar is to fiat. I cannot say that any better. I am not a financial advisor, but I see Bitcoin going to $100,000 by the end of 2018 and also Ripple trading between $10.00-$15.00 if it hits Coinbase. I am just throwing those numbers out there. Alright so let’s take a look at the news real quickly by taking a look at what is going on in Africa.
An article from BBC reads “Why African Millennials Can’t get enough of Bitcoin.” The article states that Bitcoin's eye-watering price surge over the past year is proving too tempting to resist despite fears that cryptocurrencies are a bubble floating towards an inevitable burst. One group for whom it holds particular appeal is African millennial, writes the BBC's Catherine Byaruhanga from Uganda. This thirty year-old lady is a convert to the cryptocurrency craze. Like any self-respecting middle class millennial, her smartphone is always within reach and with it her digital wallet. Currently in Africa, Bitcoin is playing a huge role in remittances, investments including savings, and lastly education. A wide door and spectrum is opening up everyday for a lot of Africans. The writer from the article states the following, "I check my Bitcoin everyday and any chance I can get. Any minute, any hour, anytime, as often as I can." So there is guys...just like everyone else.
I was going to talk about this Australian article from Bitcoin Dot Com, but it contains too much FUD. The title reads "Australian to Ban Bitcoin Gambling". However if you read through the article, the exception is Bitcoin and Ethereum. Anyways for real news avoid going to this site. Check out more reputable Bitcoin and cryptocurrency news media outlets.
Alright guys. That is all for today. And as always, sources are below. See you tomorrow.
