Investment tycoon Tim Draper and now as well Brian Kelly both predict Bitcoin to reach $250,000 USD by 2022. A number that might appear to be huge at first but would only request a similar, actually slightly slower growth than we've seen within the last 2 years.
Institutional money has entered the space already and it seems like more is still to come as the world realizes the potential of cryptocurrency. That's why it simply seems impossible to me that we won't see the space grow further over the next few years.
For that to happen we have to see an increase in actual use cases though and as well the number of transactions, which more or less indicate the overall adoption of Bitcoin. I mean after all it's meant to be a currency and not just a speculative asset that's not used for anything after all.
Anyways in the short run it seems like the bottom was in already and we're walking back towards old All Time Highs around $20,000 USD. At least the crypto hedge fund Pantera Capital thinks the same as well.
Let's See What Happens! ;)

Nah, that's a crazy projection. Altcoins will grab most of the market cap by that time.

It definitely sounds insane bit on the other side, who'd have thought of BTC ever reaching 20k a few years ago. Nothing is impossible.

You may be both right.
Although the days of Bitcoin monopoly are over, it will remain strong because of its established model, and also because of emotional attachment to the brand.
That's why there is such a vigorous fight over the status to be 'the Real Bitcoin'.
There are a lot of new techs that have emerged in the landscape, and as time passes they diverge increasingly from the original prototype. There is now a diversity of propositions and experiments.

Bitcoin has a history of even surprisingly outperforming bullish predictions. I think when institutional money comes in BTC will not wait till 2022.

Hi Steembusiness,
As your name implies, how about Steem business in 2020? There is a big rumor I heard that Steem will reach $20 this summer, you heard?

Oh $20 would be awesome but I'm not really sure about that yet. I honestly hope steem will grow in a healthy way, which doesn't include 1000% jumps over a quarter but rather a year or more. But of course huge adoption could lead to such a jump without being just a pump.

Rumor is that a large German bank will purchase Steemit for 5 billion dollars, any truth to this?

5 billion for steemit from a large german bank? I haven't heard of that. But am open to any sources you can share on it ;)

Correction: A couple German banks will purchase Steemit which will cause the price to soar to $20 which cause the market cap to go up to $5 billion for Steem.

It would be amazing even if price was half of $20 to $10 increase by this summer.

It is realistic but a lot needs to happen before Bitcoin can reach $250k.

That number would be like a dream come true.
If bitcoin reaches something like that, imagine what can alts do

I actually imagine that 75% of all alts will have vanished by that time. The pure nonsense that's floating out there on some projects is just ridiculous. Many don't have any use case neither any real innovation going on, just pure speculation from people hoping to see big gains.

Yes the majority will probably fail, but the ones that succeed should have higher returns than btc.

Yeah, not only the great Bitcoin, but generally to all cryptos, then the antagonists will end up fighting the progression of cryptos. They will find some and invest in them... Although, some of them by now might have started investing some years back.... Still on the game though...

Right now, the focus should be on trading the sh1t coins to accumulate more BTC.

I think it certainly has the potential. Once we reach the 20k mark I can see serious FOMO kicking in and institutional money desperate to get a piece of the action.

I'm sure a lot of institutional money is already in the space. They just always tell people the opposite to keep prices low..

Agreed, I just think only 10% of the institutional money out there (still a lot I guess!)
