It would be crazily ironic if cryptocurrency became the primary way that the world decided to trade on a mass scale, but then some wealthy investor decided that he/she wanted a physical gold coin to represent his/her currency like the one pictured below. That individual would be like, "I have the only physical gold coin cryptocurrency. Look how cool I am". And the next would say, "Oh yeah, I have two of them". And so on until someone had a garage full of coins. Here we go again!! LOL
