I still consider proof of work mining to be wasteful. It's not strictly necessary to run a blockchain. It just makes it harder to get the rewards. Miners can use green power, but we also need that for other things if we are to rely less on coal and gas. I wonder how viable it is to keep this going with bitcoin. As for conventional banking, most spending is digital these days. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in the next few years

PoW is guaranteed to work. You know the attack vectors....that's what I like about it. I really hope PoS systems work, time will tell! What are your favorite coins?
