How about wallets like exodus and bitshares, won't they work? I feel like i have the keys for the exodus wallet but it has more than one currency on it, what does that mean? Does it mean i already have the keys for bitcoin too? same applies to bitshares. Assuming my bitcoin is on exodus wallet to which i have the keys but which has several coins, what happens in the case of a split. also for breadwallet?

Exodus may not be the best wallet when it comes to safety because it's not 100% offline. It's better than leaving your money in an exchange for sure. I trust Exodus with small amounts of money and love the minimalist UI and the seamless ShapeShift integration on it.
