If Bitcoin goes down, it takes all the altcoins with it.
Frequent checking of the BCH price against BTC will reveal that BCH became even less valuable against BTC as it fell.
In other words, when Bitcoin contracted, Bcash contracted worse. The Bcash attack backfired in a big way. And as the BTC price has recovered, the BCH price made a smaller, but still significant, recovery in its wake.
A rising tide lifts all boats, and a falling tide sends all the boats crashing down.
If you want your altcoin to succeed, attacking Bitcoin is entirely counterproductive.
I hope we all learned our lesson.
This is what i have experienced so far in altcoins. When BTC was in super bull run altcoin was bleeding and now when btc is getting down again the altcoin is also bleeding although not all but some are still bleeding.
SO what to choose and what to do is purely the basis of knowledge and development.

What I see going ahead is that BTC will be somewhat in range trading in 2018 in between 12000 to 25000 and I think 2018 will prove to be the best year for altcoins.

why this is so. if the bitcoin increases then other altercoin also increases but with little ratio but when BTC decreases then other also other alter coin decreases but with more ratio.

See for bitcoin 2018 is not going to be the same as 2017, as you know future market has open that means margin and short trades are in and it will not let the bitcoin price to make one way journey and there will be considerable up/down move in 2018.
