I really do believe that Bitcoin is as bullet proof as it gets, look at everything that's happened. You have silk road, Mt Gox a bit of theft here and there and now the fork. If we get through the fork and I'm sure we will, this is got to be another notch on the bed post, more evidence of Bitcoin being a resilient store of value.
