The head of the exchange Binance, Zhao Changpeng, made a statement of intent to help develop the economy of Uganda by creating thousands of jobs for local youth in the blockchain industry and raising funds. To implement the goal, the cryptocurrency exchange plans to get down to business together with the African hub of blockchain innovations and the organizations Made in Africa and Msingi East Africa.
It is possible that Binance will develop in other territories of the African continent in the future.
Japan’s Financial Services Agency has recently issued a warning to Binance about the need to terminate operations in the country until a corresponding license is granted. In this regard, the head of the company reported on the possible move of cryptocurrency exchange to Malta.
In middle March of this year the number of Binance users exceeded the number of Hong Kong residents. The exchange’s user base reached about 7.9 million people in just 97 days.
