The Dutch start-up Peddler made a statement about the imminent launch of the first online platform for collective purchases, which will accept cryptocurrency as a means of payment for goods. Tech Startups reports that the site’s sales are already tied to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and other digital currencies.
Peddler.com maintains partnerships with such global brand giants as Samsung, Sony, Dyson and Nike. At the same time, partnership with these brands does not affect the fact that the platform takes into account the collective purchasing power of different niches of the population. In connection with this, discounts are offered, which vary between 20% and 50%. This approach allows the site to offer goods at the lowest prices, which cannot be offered by any major online store at the moment, even by the worldwide known ones.
“We realized that we have a lot of consumers who hold digital currencies but have no place to spend them. So we expanded our crowd buying for this community. The crypto markets can drop if there’s a lack of general purpose application. With our platform, we see a real opportunity to provide real utility,” Peddler.com founder, James Klymowsky, said.
The founder of Peddler does not rule out the possibility of including cars in the assortment of the platform, which is likely to be realized soon. In addition, the platform will integrate the system of user rewards, which will open access to the personal data of the site as a reward.
