Compared with other forms of mining, bitcoin doesn't seem so bad
People talk about how bad bitcoin is for the planet, but compared to gold mining in particular, is it really that bad?

I think they all have their cons. $Btc mining could should be mined using renewable and clean energy. The fact that gold mining does produce pollution, doesn’t mean we should do the same with #btc

Good points. I think the point here is that no one is talking about banning gold mining even though it is clearly much more destructive to the environment, though there are certainly many regulations surrounding gold mining.
