That is what Steem is for my friend. Personally I left the banks for Crypto a few years ago. I only use BTC/STEEM for the most part.

    Hello @thejohalfiles, been thinking about what you said, and I think I'm ready to start investing in some steem power, but there is only one thing stopping me and that is how to store my keys safely, as steemit does not have 2fa.
    Would be greatful for any tips you have.

    Only log in with your posting key never with your master key. Use your transfer key when transferring cash around. - Keep all your key back ups offline *(usb,paper,photo).

    2fa is not needed.

        No problem. Yes handle your passwords with care brother. Very important. Take your time and patience when dealing with any kind of password situation. Especially when filling forms out/transferring money. Make sure you put the password in the correct field and dont put it in the "memo" field and publish it to the blockchain. Believe it or not some have made that careless mistake.

            Thanks, it hasn't bothered me before, I only have about 2k on here at the moment, but I'm thinking to quit blogging (been putting to much time in for little reward) and just invest instead.

                  epic comment from an epic steemit power user! dude you should check out beta.chainbb.com login using ur steemit posting key and username, @jesta is behind it and its a cool project an u dont login with ur master transfer key just the posting key so u ca get lots of extra steem posting on chainBB and u will be able to give out alot more rewards to specific subjects it organizes steemit posts of same categories into like a Forum style view!                     I hear you, but I think I have already reached my limit for how much crypto's I want to hold.
                    Don't want all my egg's in one basket, even if it is a very profitable basket.

                      this is the comment that got me to invest $6.000 into steempower, ok the price has gone down since then but I'm still happy I did it.
