I've heard a lot of people who reference the original Satoshi fortune held in bitcoin that hasn't been spent, transferred, or moved since inception. Some conspiracy theorists have pointed to it as a Cryptography bounty from the CIA for proof of vulnerability in the system, which would mean a larger threat to RSA and public key cryptography. Some say Satoshi is already dead (or at least the wallet key is lost or broken) or else how could he resist taking profit?
So, a 2 part question: If the coins move, what do you think will be the outcome for Bitcoin? And what will your immediate steps be to safe guard and protect your hodl?
I'm pretty sure that if most of Satoshi's coins would move, value of Bitcoin would skydive. It's like Costa Concordia disaster where captain did leave the ship before all passengers were safe.
To safeguard my holds, I would try to keep assets in Bitcoin as short time span as possible, preferably exchanging them to cash when profit is between 10% and 25%.
