TomZ; Bitcoin Classic architect and coder joins Steemit!

in bitcoin •  8 years ago  (edited)

Hello everyone,

I'm Tom Zander developer and architect on Bitcoin Classic and overall believer in Bitcoin as a solution for everyone to use and buy their coffee with.

After having looked at Steemit from a distance for a while and noticing more of my friends joining, I joined yesterday and I already got quite excited by the idea of this platform.

Bitcoin Classic is the 2nd most popular bitcoin full node implementation and its vision is to get back to the roots of what the original vision of Bitcoin was. One of the most important pieces of that original vision is that we should scale Bitcoin soon, allowing many more people to enjoy it in their daily use.

Because I'm an architect by nature and education my posts will sometimes be highly technical. Its a tough job navigating the details and the readability! I hope you guys can help me with questions and responses.

Hi and welcome. I'm hoping even with the highly technical posts you could give some explanations for the regular (non-coding) guy like me. I find the technical aspects fascinating but the assumption is always that the people reading are coders/programmers.

I always try to explain things less for programmers and more for every day people. If the goal is to inform coders then they can go and read the code or the unit test. ;)

Excellent. Thanks:)

Welcome! I'm on keybase as well.

Welcome. We need more people to decipher in a plain and simple language the crypto world. In time we will have the so much required faq, wiki, help section in Steemit. Some of these are already there.

Also, do you know about steemtools.com, right ?

Thank you! I've just started browsing the steemtools, there is so much wonderful stuff there.

I'm switching to Bitcoin Classic. I'm sick of these so-called "core developers" dragging bitcoin down like an anchor dropped off the bow of ship. They need to pull their heads out of their asses. They're so smart, that they're stupid. It's like they can't see the forest through the trees. Satoshi always intended the 1MB limit to scale up over time as needed. I've read his writings. Satoshi would vote for Bitcoin Classic or a similar solution.

Welcome, Tom. I look forward to your posts.

Welcome to Steemit, @tomz!
