A newly published joke post in Reddit stated that the introduction of virtual currency, Bitcoin, was predicted by a certain game, the Final Fantasy III that was released 28 years ago.

The Final Fantasy III game was originally released on April 27, 1990 and went on to become immensely popular. The Reddit post published a picture from the game where it indicates to a certain logo pictured on an object that is a look alike of the well-known Bitcoin’s logo. This post created so much buzz among readers that, as of April 18 it managed to accumulate more than three thousand upvotes.

On Jan. 3, 2009, when the first Bitcoin block was mined, members of Bitcoin community as well as ordinary people who are familiar with the Final Fantasy game were quick to notice the similarities between the two symbols, but it was ruled out as a mere coincidence at that time.

Nonetheless, this is not the first time that Bitcoin community discovered such coincidence. People are so sneaky that they found Bitcoin’s parallels in many popular books. One episode from the popular Tv show ‘The Simpsons’ from the late 90’s also showed the concept of digital currency long before Bitcoin was actually introduced.

just proves the NSA is behind it ;)

yah , NSA also invented the wheel, everybody knows that.

Haha, looks like the creators of the game came back from the future and they knew that future is crypto :)

LoL! Or the name of the creator of this game is "Satoshi" :P :D Who Knows :D

This is amazing @tradeviewglobal

Is it just coincidence or was everything pre-planned and the story is just starting to unfold.

That's weird!

Awesome post, i like your post thanks for sharing

Heh! With regards to the logo, everything looks pretty similar in 8 bit. If we're looking for OG digital currency cred, I think we have to go back a bit further and give some props to Star Wars with its "credit" currency.
