An Introduction to TrainCrypto: How I Got into Bitcoin and Technical Analysis

Hey guys!

Welcome to my Steemit blog where I will be sharing my charts and my technical analysis for the community. I really love the way Steemit is being used positively for this community, so I thought I'd chip in.

To give you a bit of my background so you guys can get to know what I'm all about, I started my career in Sport's Medicine, Nutrition and Physiology. This led me to become hugely passionate about scientific research and literature surrounding the topic.
This give me a pretty in-depth look into understanding statistical analysis, interpreting hypotheses and coming to conclusions based on the evidence that was presented to me.

So now you know I'm a science nerd haha. I trust the scientific method and have used it for years.

ENTER BITCOIN...

So I have been regarded as a non-conformist ever since I was a kid, but I am pretty open minded about things, and as long as you can give me sufficient evidence to back up what you are talking about, I will change my mind. Being open to change and being able to say 'I was wrong' was something that separated me from my peers, as I had no underlying bias in the fight (I have witnessed first hand scientific literature being manipulated through bribery, lies and corruption.

This pissed me off, so I went out on my own. I started a consultancy firm that focused on bringing research to the masses, and especially to my demographic at the time (professional athletes).
While I can't name any names, I've worked with some pretty big names (not a brag) that put me in touch with some pretty intelligent (and filthy rich) people. Long story short, I was introduced to Bitcoin.
I did what I always do when I find a new concept, I research the shit out of it and come to my own conclusions.

With all this in mind, and the fact that I think the current economic system is fucked, I fell in love with Bitcoin pretty quickly. From there it's been nothing but cryptocurrency for me.
What I'm getting at is that I'm not just doing it for the profits, I believe in this shit and am all in (I currently have 90% of all wealth I have EVER owned in cryptocurrency).

Fast forward to today, and due to my absolute love for statistics and science, I naturally fell into The Elliott Wave Theory. As a science guy this made sense to me. I felt like I was a prophet. But all I was doing was what I've done my entire life. Use the scientific method to give me answers. If you're unfamiliar with this method, here's a quick run down:

  • Make observations
  • Ask questions
  • Research and create a hypothesis
  • Make predictions based on your hypothesis
  • Test predictions with experiment/study
  • Come to a conclusion
  • Repeat :)

So now that is very vague, but it gives you an idea of what I do when I'm doing Technical Analysis (TA). I am pragmatic, analytical and resourceful, but I can be wrong occasionally. You know what I do then? I find out why I was wrong and I make sure it won't happen again.

This has served me pretty well in both crypto and my previous career. And because crypto and the community have literally changed my life for the better, I want to give back. There will be people out there that need crypto, because the current economic system is fucking them over, and they have nowhere to turn.

WE ARE HERE. This is one of the most helpful communities I've been a part of and we are going to continue to grow, and help for many generations to come. And we're only beginning.

If you are reading this, you are still early. If you know someone who needs to get into crypto, get them involved. Show them the evidence and let them make their own mind up. But one thing is for sure, we're growing daily, and soon, we're taking over.

Fuck the banks. It's time to create our own wealth, and give the power back to the people.

Peace.
