At 10:55 a.m. three suspects gained entry to Canadian Bitcoins on Concourse Gate and armed with handguns tied up four employees and demanded them to complete a cryptocurrency transaction.

A fifth employee, who remained unseen in an office, contacted police, and the suspects fled empty-handed.

One 19 year old suspect was arrested without incident and two others are still at large.

Jimmy St-Hilaire, 19, was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday on charges including five counts each of robbery, pointing a firearm and forcible confinement plus wearing a disguise and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. He also faces charges that he carried a concealed weapon and had a loaded gun to commit a crime while banned from having firearms.

The two suspects at large are described as black men. Police also want to talk to a “person of interest” who was inside the business when the suspects arrived.

I hope they find the other two suspects. I have been in an armed robbery incident at a gas station and it is pretty traumatic for the employees.
