Bitcoin has already been accepted by several major retailers according to the recent news reported by Joseph Young on CCN: https://www.ccn.com/retailer-adoption-of-bitcoin-is-growing-in-the-us-and-canada-despite-price-fall/

In the article, Newegg's adoption of Bitcoin as a payment option will help "broaden the acceptance rate of Bitcoin in Canada". In addition, Starbucks chairman Howard Schultz is also planning to integrate Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency payment options that are retailer-friendly.
Also take a look at the article "13 Major Retailers and Services That Accept Bitcoin" by Lifewire, I have gone over to verify the Top 5 sites if Bitcoin is accepted. See screenshots below:
1. Overstock.com - Bitcoin payment and other cryptos available
2. Expedia - Bitcoin payment terms & conditions: https://www.expedia.com/Checkout/BitcoinTermsAndConditions
3. eGifter - Bitcoin payment available
4. Newegg - Bitcoin payment available
5. Shopify - Bitcoin payment available
This is very good indeed; mass adoption is the last roadblock to reach new highs. The work you put in to actually check the claims yourself is much appreciated @tysler!

thanks :) followed you. I would hope to see more cryptos being used in our daily purchases... even if USDT (Tether) is going got be the first actual digital coin due to its stability.

Thanks so much @tysler! I'm hard at work to build a start of some kind of following, and am grateful for any help I get. Speaking of mass adoption of Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies, hodlers can stimulate this by not just hodling, but instead pay for stuff with their crypto and immediatly buy back the amount spent. If you have the time, I wrote a little article about that here
Thanks again! (and I followed you to)

Look! Easter is coming to our place!
Everyone gets his spiritual faith.
I wish you peace all over the world,
Spend your days without a sword.
May bright sunshine fill your heart,
May your life’s road be not so hard.

And all the goodness on the Earth!
