My thoughts on bitluck.com

in bitcoin •  5 years ago

I came across an ad on facebook just a few minutes ago for a company called bitluck. Bitluck is a contract mining company where one buys power and computing power in order to mine bitcoin. Mining pools are nothing new but the scale of them have grown exponentially throughout the past few years.

The fact that there are only 21 million bitcoins that will be allowed to be mined. The last bitcoin to be mined according to my research through google will be around the year 2140. But as you may know, computing power and halving events will determine the end date. Once that is done the price of a bitcoin will skyrocket to astronomical rates. The idea of the rate of a bitcoin going up in the near future is still happening.

Companies such as bitluck are going to be obsolete. I have read through their website and they do not mention the name bitcoin or any other altcoin. I get the idea that they are mining bitcoin because of the use of the bitcoin logo. What bitluck does is it takes your money and invests it into it's inferstructure of electricity and computing power. Acording to bitluck's website, they are continuously investing in computers and energy. Once a bitcoin is found and a block is generated the number of coins are distributed throughout their community and of course they take a percentage of the cut on top of your initial investment.

The plans that bitluck offers range from 150 days up to unlimited. The computing power that can be rented is between 50 and 500 TH. You can invest anywhere from $498.75 USD to $7,537.50. Now these odd figures are direct from the bitluck website. Seeing numbers like this make me a little confused. This is not your stand alone 99 cent or rounded dollar investment. I am not sure why they ask for these exact prices when they could just round up or down to $750, etc. There is a maintenance fee that is billed every month and the first month is included.

Bitluck's data centers are located in Hungary or so I am assuming based on what google says their address is. They are asking for USD. Not sure why USD and why they do not offer other flat currencies or cryptocurrencies. According to a website https://www.serchen.com/, there is mention of just 2 employees. Now that is nuts. How can you run a company on a scaled of what bitluck is running on just 2 employees. Is bitluck run out of a home? Their address according to google is 12, ÁTI-Sziget Ipari Park, Szigetszentmiklós, 2310 Hungary. I am looking at a satelite photo taken from google. I am unsure as to if they are located underground or what.

Below are links for reference. Feel free to check them out. I would love to invest in buying some computing power but I don't want to get scammed. Their website is pretty bare minimal. I am looking for comments on other people's experiences with bitluck.

Happy trails and go 49ers!
