Yale University study presents indicators to predict the price of cryptocurrencies

Research conducted in the United States by economics professors at Yale University, Aleh Tsyvinski and Yukun Liu, identifies some statistical indicators that help predict cryptocurrencies performance, including the momentum effect and the investor attention average.

In the research, entitled “Risks and Benefits of Cryptocurrencies”, the academics proceeded to study the three main cryptocurrencies, according to their capitalization in the market: bitcoin, ether and XRP, to find their basic properties. For this, they used the financial tools indicated in textbooks and observed that they did not behave like the other types of assets, including stocks, currencies and precious metals.
