In his latest book "Augmented" Brett King writes about the life in 20 years from now.
This will change who we are without knowing who exactly we are going to be with AI, robotics, Bitcoin and gene-editing around the corner.
How does this historical disruption affect the world of art making and the consumption of art?
Beside the fact that it will be a lot easier to get rid of your tattoos new tools like "Plotagraph" are already available to animate your still-photos and artwork. And yes, one day you will have animated tattoos on your body. New art forms will emerge where virtual worlds let you escape from the real world.
Decent digital artists will improve their skills with new software for lightning and shadow techniques.
"Your eyes will become windows to a whole range of feedback loops, enhanced context and overlays" says Brett King.
So before you get replaced by some algorithms you better get ready for this!
There's only one thing that will never change...the most important software is situated on the right side of your brain and called INSPIRATION. (when I wrote this one day in another context a guy asked me afterwards where he could buy this software).

YES! Your posts/your art have turned me on to this whole notion. My husband is a futurist, a crypto enthusiast, etc. So I hear from Him the predictions of how it’s going to be...our lives integrated with technology, cognitively connected to the intelligence, VR, google searches via the brain 😂... it sounds amazing.
But your posts here help me SEE it. They help me almost experience it in my mind. This fantastical beautifully augmented future world with art more beautiful than imaginable. Then I can expound sensorily from there...more fantastical tastes, musical experiences that would blow modern day man’s mind, the feel of textures and sensations beyond anything before in existence, etc etc etc...
When I used to read the newspapers my favorite section was the Life/Living section. Your posts take me there futuristically. Art. Fashion. People. Experiences.

The problem is not that technology evolves, the problem really is that we do not evolve from CONSCIOUSNESS and that is what has made technology become a threat to life in many aspects (logically not in all) but the more we create ourselves different and separated from the rest we will make use of what exists in technology to survive one before others.
