It is claimed that Australia's four major banks have recently frozen their accounts of major trending crypto money transfers. According to the statement, National Australia Bank, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation froze the accounts of crypto-money-transfer customers.
In ANZ Bank's statement, "Our bank does not prohibit customers from buying digital currencies" while Westpac said, "If we can not determine the source of the transfer, we have to act under the Australian anti-money laundering law."
