Check out the differences between featured adz and spotlight adz.
The ads displayed in this top cover image are not the actual size, the actual size for a spotlight ad is 250x250 - You can see an example near the top left of the image above and a real actual size by scrolling down the page.
A featured ad could be any size larger than 250x250 up to 800x400. 600x300 banner ads are also very popular, you can see an example of a 600x300 banner near the bottom of this page. We may consider making featured ads larger in the future but 800x400 is the largest size we are offering at this moment.
Featured Adz - Only 12 ad slots per day
We have limited ad slots available for these ads, they will be sold on a first come first serve basis. We plan on running no more than 12 Featured ad slots per day which includes all of our promotional campaign pages and Steemit Blog.
Spotlight Adz - Only 1 ad slot per day
Spotlight ads are different as there will only ever be 1 spotlight ad position each day and it is currently only available as a feature on our daily blog posts. This is a rare and unique advertising opportunity as there is only ever 1 ad spot available each day exclusively on Steemit.

There are multiple ways to earn, win prizes and be rewarded for viewing adz and this is something we will be looking in to further with a view of sharing some reviews and deeper insights in to this subject in future posts and press release articles.
