Bitcons vs Altcoins

Bitcoins or altcoins
Well,i believe this have to be one of the major questions that occured in every "crypto investor's" mind.
Personally,my stand is neutral.
As an investor,i have not got my hands onto any bitcoins at this point of time as i had spent my last 7 months investing in altcoins only.

Did i regret my decisions?....my answer is "No"!
But will i invest in bitcoin in the future?..my answer is a definite "YES"!!

Allow me to share some of my opinions.

Investing in altcoins will require you to take greater degrees of risks.Altcoins often face price fluctuations (both positive and negative).And these price fluctuations are SERIOUS ups and downs.For instance,NEO coin, a great project,saw a rise from about $7 in the beginning of August,to an all time high of more than $50 in just half a month,in mid August.The price then saw a great dip to about $15 within a month,before regaining momentum and getting back to about $30 currently.I think this example is ample to show how much the price of an altcoin can fluctuate in just a short TWO MONTHS.

With that said,i feel that the great fluctuations in altcoin prices will also serve as a perfect opportunity for us to get huge gains(if we are careful and fast enough).For instance,as i have shared in my previous post,my first investment was in ETH instead of BTC.Since then,ETH rose by about 18 times, from $18 to $324 before i sold it and gain the profits.BTC was going well too,as it rose by about $2000 from about $1000 in March(the time when i sold my ETH).Indeed a rise of $2000 dollars seemed like a huge gain,but mathematically it is a 200% rise,which was lesser then ETH's 1800% rise in that period of time.

The message that i am trying to put across is that if we are able to analyse and pick the right altcoin,it may allow us to earn even more than investing in Bitcoin(in the short term)!

But,at the end of the day,Bitcoin is still the trademark and representation of cryptocurrency,hence the price of Bitcoin will surely soar to greater heights(where no altcoin can compare) in the future.I will be looking to scoop some bitcoins in the near future with the profits that i have made in altcoins:)

To sum up,do diversify your investments and invest a significant percentage of your portfolio in Bitcoins.The rest of your investments should be used on investing in the RIGHT altcoins to maximise your profits so that you can purchase more Bitcoins with the profits that you have made.
