Years ago when Trezor and Ledger wallets came out, I never though I would ever be able to get a hardware wallet. I live in the deep south, yeah really deep. I found ways to make do by keeping my coins on a completely off-line computer.
I was never able to just go to a store and get a bitcoin t-shirt or a commemorative coin. Those kinds of thing never made it down here.

Years later, now that I have completely lost interest in the flagship coin that is sometimes fast and other times a six-hour send, I have found a place that is close to home and has all the trappings cypto-fanaticism!
It is called the bitcoin store. I ran into it when I was buying a new computer. The man at the computer store told me that I could pay for my new desktop using bitcoin. I no longer keep bitcoin but there are plenty of sites that will do an instant transformation from fast cryptos to slow ones.
You can use shapeshift, no.
Maybe changely, no.
What was the name of that one that has no KYC (that is Kall Your Country)? Oh yeah, you can use changenow.io with no questions asked.
Sorry about my intermittent digs. I am never pleased with sites that ask for really sensitive documents while holding my coins ransom.
I did not end up paying for my computer with crypto, but I did try out the bitcoin ATM that lives at the bitcoin store (see my next post). I was later told by other businesses in Galeria Jardin that changing crypto at the ATM will cost about twelve percent, which means there are a lot of people taking a chunk of your coins for the the fast buy/sell service.
I am not sure if I am ready to trade-in the multiple encrypted backups of my alt-coin wallets and my off-line computers for a Trezor hardware wallet. Somehow I am not sure that I would trust having only one copy of my wallet, existing on something so small, so easily stolen or damaged. Maybe if I held bitcoins, I might feel differently.
Pretty cool thing to get from there
